Producing
consistently exceptional wines at an affordable price.
Established
in 1989, Fonty’s Pool wines is a contemporary, Pemberton
winery, producing consistently exceptional wines at an
affordable price.
Premium sites within the original vineyard have been
selected to create wines which emphasise their regional
characteristics. The grapes are vinified under the direction
of experienced winemakers Bernie Stanlake and Melanie
Bowater who are crafting a unique signature to make Fonty’s
Pool one of Western Australia’s most distinctive wineries.
Known as a local landmark, the name ‘Fonty’s Pool’ comes
from an early settler to the region. In 1907 Archie
Fontanini began farming on the property where the 110
hectares of vines are now laid. He built an irrigation dam
which was affectionately called ‘Fonty’s Pool’ and became a
place where locals and tourists alike would come to swim.
Fonty’s Pool wines is located just outside the Pemberton
township and set amongst an idyllic landscape of lush karri
forests.

SAUVIGNON BLANC / SEMILLON
Delicate aromas of citrus blossom
and freshly cut herbs. It has pure-fruit impact, crisp
acidity and bright quenching flavours of lime and lemon,
finishing with a sense of savouriness. Refined,
succulent, fresh and clean, it will reward immediate
consumption.

CABERNET / MERLOT
Dark cherry red in colour. Cherry,
cassis and plum fruits mingle with sweet toasty oak and
a touch of herbal spice. A generous, juicy palate and
fine chalky tannins persists with red berries and
balanced acidity. A good approachable drink at any time
of the year. This wine is ready to drink now.

CHARDONNAY
Yellow gold, straw hues: An array of
fruits – white peach, apricot, melon and figs – layered
over lemon meringue pie and toasted cashews. The palate
is medium bodied and round with a delightful creamy
velvety texture. Nuances of oak and a fine mineral
acidity carrying through to a citrus length.

VIOGNIER
Reserved stylish aroma, with hints of pear,
grapefruit and apricots. It shows richness without being broad
and yet has texture, with generous mouthfeel, a sense of
crispness and added complexity from barrel maturation.
Expressive, elegant and persistent. Enjoy now, or cellar for a
further 2 years

PINOT NOIR
Vibrant, garnet red; an explosion of cherries
and strawberries greets you with hints of vanilla bean – medium
bodied it has a generous palate showing red berries upfront. A
fine powdery texture persists; the flavours evolve with smoky
tones and plum fruit on the length. This wine will age well
under screw capsules for 5 – 6 years
An elegant wine with incredible cherry aromas
with a hint of violet and flavors of black currant, raspberry
and mocha. This well-layered wine has vanilla undertones with
rich and complex silky tannins

2007
PINOT NOIR ROSE
Seamless earthy cherry fruit with generosity,
elegance and authentic Pinot Noir character. Quenching and
warmly reverberative with evident acidity and delicate finishing
tannins. Consume while fresh and young, but will improve with
further cellaring.

SHIRAZ
This Shiraz is densely packed with juicy,
precise red berry and plum fruit, it has suggestions of rich
spices, and this is all balanced with integrated oak and
fine tannins providing a robust, but delicate structure.
Typically cool climate in nature, it is immediately
accessible, but will reward further cellaring for 3 to 5
years
