Better Margins and Better Business

  • Bottles, corks, labels, foils and boxes cost an average of $2 a bottle. Eliminating this cost, results in lower prices for both the business and the customer. BIB wine cuts down on production costs from 20 to 25%, providing the consumer a better deal on quality wine. Furthermore, as BIB wine eliminates oxidation, businesses no longer have to throw away half used bottles of wine. This wastage results in a higher mark up for wine by the glass ultimately affecting the consumer’s wallet. Specifically, wine on tap reduces cost to the consumer.

PINOT GRIGIO DELLE VENEZIE IGT

The vine of Pinot Grigio belongs to the Pinot family. It was imported to Italy from Burgundy by General Sambuy. Its name originates from the peculiar colour of its bunches verging on grey.

THE VINIFICATION: The grapes are gathered on the last days of August. The immediate separation of the skin from the must gives the wine a straw yellow colour. The selected yeasts and the low temperature of fermentation exalt the fragrances of wine and define its flavour. After the fermentation the wine is filtered and preserved at low temperatures until the moment it is bottled.

THE WINE:
is straw yellow colored. Its flavor is dry, well-orchestrated and velvety. It goes well with fish dishes (especially shellfish and seafood), light appetizers or vegetable creams. To be served at a temperature of 10°/12°C.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON / MERLOT

Both Merlot and Cabernet grapes are of French origin and adapted well in the Veneto region of Italy becoming amongst the best known Italian varietals worldwide. The blend results in a wine with character, but charming and soft to the palate.

THE VINIFICATION:  Grapes are fermented in the skin in special vats at 26/28 Centigrade. Punching down during fermentation enhance coloring and release fruit and fragrance. After fermentation, the wine is centrifuged and stored in thermo - regulated steel vats, before boxing.

THE WINE:  It has a ruby red color and a distinctive bouquet, with a full persistent and composite flavor. It goes very well with roasts, white and red meats, poultry and aged cheeses. Serve at 18/20 centigrade.
